I found this game two nights ago. I've lost a lot of sleep.

Cho ren sha is an awesome ass shmup. The game play is top notch and has a nice learning curve. It's pretty much your standard shmup action with some really awesome enemy A.I.; A lot of the enemies actually aim according to your position so its not just mindless memorization like some of the bullet hellers I have been seeing these days. If you like shmups or have never tried one before, I recommend cho ren sha.

Category 5

Category 5 is a fun little game where you start as a gale and slowly collect more and more debris until you become a category 5 tornado. the game play is very similar to the Katamari games if you've ever played those. use the WASD keys to move your tornado around. move the mouse in a counter-clockwise circle to spin the tornado faster and collect more things, be careful though; when you spin the tornado faster, not only is it able to pick up hevier items, it also moves across the field faster, which can be dangerous since hitting your tornado against larger objects can diminish your power.

Definitely worth a download,

Survival Crisis Z. This game is the sht; your classic zombacalypse story, with ridiculously gnarly gameplay. Fight and flee through the zombie infested ruins of a city, find other survivors, weapons, food, and relative safety. Band together or join a faction and fight the zombies as a team, or kill other humans and take their stuff for your own use. The depth of the story mode is astounding, offering tons of replay value. Arcade mode is straight on zombie carnage action, rewarding you with unlock able gameplay enhancements when you reach high scores. Do yourself a favor and download this game.

When I'm trying to kill some time by playing some flash games I hate digging through google just to find a flash game site that is actually worth a damn. Most of the sites are so full of ads and crappy games that I spend most of my time just looking for a game thats worth playing. I like Sobored.net because it's extremely straight forward and I can get right to playing games. The games are categorized and displayed in a way that it only takes two clicks at most to play any game on the site. Its hundreds of flash games that you can play with out sifting through piles of bullcrap.

Browser game: vel.shock

The goal in vel.shock is to survive as long as possible while deflecting enemy turret's fire back at them. use the mouse to navigate your ship through the enemy fire and to place yourself in strategic positions. left click to activate your deflector shield and bounce back enemy fire. there's a short delay after you click before you can use the shield again, so be careful when you use it. it starts off simple and becomes increasingly difficult as you gain levels. If you're looking for a fun way to kill some time, I recommend vel.shock.

homemade home theater

I'm sure that everyone would agree that having a 6' computer monitor would be a quite gnarly, but if you dont have $500 to shell out on a mediocre video projector from radio shack or the internet, there is a solution. DIY. from what i've seen it doesn't get much more technical than slapping an lcd screen down on a regular overhead projector and keeping it from burning up with a fan or two. if you have just minimal tinkering skills, i think you could build a top notch projector for $250 tops; cheaper if you already have some materials.

Jetpack basketball is a nice timekiller with some hypnotic visuals. you aim your player with left and right , hold down the up button for boost, and grab and hold the ball with M. The gameplay is simple but challenging and the visual effects might induce a braingasm. at only 10mb, its definitely worth a download

I've always enjoyed finding new and interesting things on the internet. games that are fun and challenging. ideas that are unconventional and new. most of all, I like things that are interesting enough to make me wipe the drool off my face and actually pay attention. for me, actual stimulating entertainment is a commodity on the internet, and when I'm in my least inspired state, its not as easy as typing "good things" into google. it takes some digging. so I intend to scour the internet and collect the things that are worth a dooka here on this blog where it may serve all as a source of good stuff.
